Hello everyone!
So I went to PRAS yesterday on the lookout for a cali or an MBK and found nothing, so in my defeat I stopped at my local exotics store and bought the Cali king I've had my eyes on for a long time.
"she" is a dot dash albino is about two and a half ft long and weighs 125g! She's absolutely insane and likes to bite everything she can get her teeth on.
I have a couple of questions;
1: Is she too big/old to be popped or should I probe her to find sex (any other tricks I can look at to figure it out?) 2: Going to feed her tonight can't imagine she'll refuse but I'm a little confused about what I should feed, I'm used to big constrictors not skinny little ones - I'm under the impression that anything that will leave a bulge in her belly is a good size - Is the 10%-15% a good idea for feed size or is that just royals and boas? |

too big for popping, probing is the way forward here.
nope 10-15% is for royals, for kings would say nothing bigger than 1.5x the thickest part of the snake.
and woo on the Cali but wheres the photos :D |

What weight is he/she? My adults get an XL mouse/small rat weiner every 14 days that weighs 30-40g. The snakes themselves weigh between 450-750g grams. |

Ah right I'd be feeding either one small or medium every 7 days. My female hypo greyband is 120g and she gets one small every 7 days. |
