Hi there!
New to the site and after a long time of thinking, planning and all that jazz i am looking to get myself an MBK. I have been looking around and the only place i can seem to get them is from 888 reptiles or exotic-pets.co.uk, the latter of the two carrying younger snakes and imo looking a bit more professional.
Has anyone had any experience with them in the past as i have tried to e-mail them but to no avail (the same also happened with 888)
thanks guys!

I've used both 888 and exotic-pets and had no problems with either of them, although I have to admit my purchases have been equipment and not livestock.
I think both sites are a bit pricey for livestock, so would recommend finding a local shop or breeder nearby. This will cut out the risks of shipping the animal too |

Hey Ham89, I'm also new to this site (just made this account about 30 seconds ago) I recieved my MBK last week. I ordered her from reptmart.com. I placed my order at 3:00 pm and she arrived the next day at 10:12 AM. I have kept her on paper towels just incase she had mites but haven't seen any. She looks perfectly healthy and very docile. She has shown no signs of aggression towards me. Congrats on your decision, they are VERY beautiful snakes! |

Hi Ham89. Where in the UK are you? Its the Doncaster show next month and if you're lucky you might find a MBK. If they do have some they will definitely be cheaper than in the shops |

Appologies for the late reply lol, i have been on my holidays!
To answer a few questions, firstly i am just othside Edinburgh and all of my local pet shops seem to either not sell snakes at all or charge more than on the internet (including delivery) one shop even goes as far as selling common corn snakes for £75 which is laughable.
I am also finding it bloody hard to get any info about the two websites i mentioned. I seem to read either horror stories half the time and the other half there is no complaints. I have tried e-mailing them both to just check there is a human at the other end and as of yet have had no reply. It's a bit gutting as i have my heart set on a MBK and the only place i can realistically source one from where i live is on the net.
I'll just have to be patient i guess. |

Keep an eye on classifieds...Dont think she posts here, but there is a girl in Perth who breeds Mex Blacks! Have you tried Strictly Exotics in Kirkcaldy?..Elaine who works there im sure could source you some?? I havent used 888 or the other you mention but Worcester Reptiles courier and Mike is great at getting things for me...Donny would be your best bet though if you can manage it?? Good luck! |

maybe the best thing to do would be to get in touch with them, get them to send details (perhaps a photo if they were willing) to me then when i have the setup ready basically go and collect the snake. I see on their website that they have CB09 MKB's, i shall get in touch! |

Ooh, if you're in Fife, there's a shop in Kircaldy called Strictly Exotics, http://www.strictlyexotics.com/.
I use their Dundee branch, and the staff are really nice and well informed. They have a nice catalogue too. |
