hi, got new viv today at long last. its a 24x15x16 and my heat mat i already have in the faun is 11x6 inches. will this be big enough to heat the viv? the next size mat up is 11x11 and that will be nearly half the viv.
thanks mark |

I think that you would be OK with your current heat mat to be honest, but personally I would probably go to the next size up. |

i'd personally get an 11" x 11" mat, or even slightly larger, but your 11" x 6" mat won't cause and real issues, it's just a small area for the snake to get warm on.... |

hi,
thanks for the replies. i will go with the 11x11 mat then that will do for when she goes in a 36" viv. just didnt think i would get a good heat gradient with the 11x11. will have the faun for my next snake already set up then . by the way my snake has a name now, sausage.
thanks mark |
