All being well we will be moving to spain for work and a better life (lets face it, england is rubbish!)

We're hoping to take Jake with us but don't know how to get about it! I've been told we will need certificates or a pet passport or something. I know it'll be more of a hassle taking him rather than a dog bee he's an exotic animal.

If anyone has done this before with their snake could they help us out? We really love him and would hate to have to sell him

I've never known anyone that's done it, but while in Spain I have been to exotic shops and know that snakes are sold as pets over there, so that's a good sign that's it's legal to keep them at least.

Probably best to phone up the officials and make dead certain you have filled all the necessary paperwork in. Hopefully it'll not be too much of a trauma to take him with you.

Take a look here, perhaps they can help:

http://www.spain-info.co.uk/Pets/pet-removals.htm

I got that after googling "exporting pets to spain" and got also some links on the right which may be worth exploring too.

Good luck.
