hey guys!
I'm on tcs with my corn "Blaze" a 10 month old 2feet ish long :) and looking to add to the collection!
I did have a look at royals. one word. nah I couldn't be at home all day to care for it, in case of temps rise etc...
so I'm now looking into getting a king snake or milk! Albino Nelson milks looks fab!! or a cali banded king!!
What prices can I expect to pay for a young cks around 2 months old?
and usual stuff I know like hides, waterbowl heat, stat etc etc
are they the same temperature as corns?
cheers; Tom. |

| hi hillzi,i think a king is more suited to you than a royal, you would only end up pulling your hair out with stress. You can pick cali kings up from private sellers mega cheap, try preloved or the darkside. If you need details from preloved give me a shout because im a full member and have full access. |

Get a king Hillzi - Royals are alright if you get a captive bred one. I think it's the Wild caught and farmed ones that never really adapt to life in a viv (hence problems).
Kings can be hard to handle sometimes, but you'll never have a dull day. |

Thanks for all the help guys.
Yup will be getting a king snake shortly. Just some bits before I get it, like a job.
Corn needs a new viv. I need a new iPod.. Need £57 for a starter kit from 888.. pheww
King it is then.
for the lovely creatures royals' are, are they really worth the stress? Just being musked on will pee me off more than the biting.
edit:/ thanks for that Lee; all the kings are up north or too far from me! well we'll just wait for one to come along... |
