Hey there folks, sorry bout the Neil Young reference, I'm a massive fan of his
I fed Colin, my Mexican Milk on Monday night. He didn't show much interest at first, but did eventually eat. I left him alone until just a few minutes ago and I noticed he's went blue and getting ready to shed again. I flicked back through my records and he shed last on the 6th of June, about 7 weeks ago.
He's roughly over a year old, so is this normal? |

The shedding patterns of snakes can vary loads, young snakes and snakes that have been injured can sometimes shed more often.
There's no real timescale that snakes shed in, they just do when they need to. |

Cheers. Is there much I can do to help him. I've already put a moist hide at the cool end of his tank. I also usually lightly mist the tank every 3 days or so. Should I do this daily or twice daily? |

7 weeks is about the same length of time as both Sylar and Jasmin so shouldn't be anything to worry about, however your taste of music is |

The fella from Belfast who was a big help to me with getting Colin feeding advised me about the misting. He said not to go overboard, just a couple quick squirts from the water bottle at both ends of the tank.

When it comes to shedding I just let Snoop get on with it now. Apart from the moss and the spraying he does all the hard work and comes out the other side looking devastatingly handsome |

you could also move the water bowl to the warm end and that increases the humidity |

I have to admit i dont mist any of my Milks! But, i do give them a moist hide and increase the humidity as Lee has said, by using a bigger waterbowl near the hot end, when a shed is imminent! |
Lots of Milks!! Few Royals, corns, Rosie Boas and Childrens Pythons. One Bci, and one Irian Jaya Carpet! |

Colin's skin and eyes have both cleared. Last time he shed two days after his eyes cleared. Seems to be a very quick shedding process. Is this normal? |
