hallorr, erm, basically i was handling strawbs just now, and she was sitting still with her tail/body half on my lap and her head on my hand. [she was very calm and quiet.] i felt something tickling and she was flicking her tongue out on my skin. i was watching her for a little while and noticed her head twitching/ vibrating. She'd smell me with her tongue and for every time she poked her tongue out, her head would shake, then stop. she was only doing it for about ten minutes but i'd never seen her do that before! any ideas on what it might mean?
p.s. i call her a 'she', but i've not had her sexed yet! [don't know if that's relevant. the other half thought it was because she's a HE and he's ready to mate? not sure though..]

You've not got alcohol on your skin have you? Have you been using any of that hand cleaning gel or something else strong smelly? Chopping garlic at dinner etc?
Sometimes they have funny reactions to smells they don't like. Probably trying to analyse what you are because you smell funny  |
