Heyyys, i have a little slip of paper the guy at the reptile shop gave me with feeding and shedding dates of Strawbs before i bought her, i've stuck to the feeding dates as it's like a regime, but she hasn't shed yet. Her last shed was February 27th, and i was wondering how often do 6-12month old snakes shed their skin?
I ask because it seems a little irratic. She was first fed on the 18th of October, so i assume she was born about a week or so before that? and her sheds aren't in any way organised.. 19th Nov, 17th Jan and then 27th Feb, when [approximately] shall i expect her to shed next?
I'm not worried about her, she's happy and curious as always, just curious really

| looking at the dates looks like he's missed december out,would of thought every 4-6 weeks at that age but all snakes are differant,so i would think she s due any day now.Have you increased her food since you got her? |

I reckon Snoop goes every 6 to 8 weeks, it also depends on how often you feed her. If its twice a week then she will grow a lot quicker, if its once a week then obviously its slower, I was feeding Snoop twice a week until I noticed he was starting to put a little to much weight on |

| Every 4-6 weeks sounds reasonable to me. Sylar's last 5 sheds were at gaps of 6-7 weeks but his most recent one had a gap of 8 weeks. Its now been 7 weeks since his last shed so I'm expecting one soon |

yeah i'm feeding her twice a week at the moment. been doing so for 3 weeks now.
Was also considering buying fuzzies next? She's been on pinkies since October and over the last 3 weeks she's been on double pinkies. I still have a few pinkies left, but i was wondering if she's the right age to try her with a fuzzy once the pinkies are gone? I think she could take it, she's got an apetite that one :D |

| If she has been eating 4 pinkies a week then I would say she is probably ready for fuzzies, but maybe go down to one every 5 days? |

| i agree with mb,4 pinkys aweek is a bit much,got to give them time to build the stomach acids back up,so a fuzzy every 5 days would be fine then eventuly move up to 2 fuzzys and so on. |
