Hi my Cali is managing pinkies no probs, not sure whether to try him on fluffs yet. He is about 8 mths old and weighs about 30g. Feed him every 5 days and he takes no probs. shall I give him 2 pinkies or move him up?

Step him up to 2 pinkies first then single fluff. Rough guide is if there is no visible bulge after he takes it (them) down then it is time to move up the scale.

Might sound like a daft question but do you give 1 pinkie and then the other as soon as the tail has disappeared ?

Let him take it down and leave for a few minutes until he's stopped squirming. He'll possibly become alert start looking around as if to say 'Any more?' Give him the second and wait before returning him to the viv/ faun. (Assuming you are feeding in a tub.)

I actually feed him in his viv, he seems happy doing this and I do not have to handle him after he has eaten. What are the advantages of feeding him outside the viv in a RUB?

No chance of taking in any substrate which might get stuck to the mouse, plus it's another opportunity for a photo-shoot.
