Going to give mine his first feed later this week, was told by last owners that he's been having 2 mice a fortnight.Just wondering if it's a good idea to get him on rats like my royal or keep to the mice like my corn as i dont want him getting out of shape. |

from a corn point of view (and as they're not dis-similar) i'd probably stick to mice. rat pups aren't as nutritious and are higher in fat than an adult mouse of a comparable size.
BUT any proper king keepers feel free to correct me! (i don't keep kings!) |

Nagini won't take rats at all. She is scared of them for some reason. Just gets defensive.
This is even after a 2 month brummation- we thought she would wolf it down but she didn't.
I think two adult mice once a fortnight should be alright. We usually feed one adult mice 7-8 days, but we are thinking of lengthing that and increasing the size (hence the rat). But two should do it just the same |

I'm with Stuart on this one m8, I'm just gonna increase the size of mouse as he gets bigger. Snoop eats them with real enthusiasm so much so that I'm gonna have to watch him when he strikes when hes older and bigger lol |

Sylar made the decision for me, he simply stopped eating mice. Tried him on a rat pup after a few weeks of not eating and he took it straight away. Hasn't touched mice since |

I think he could manage a small weaned rat as the mouse he had was not as wide as his body but was worried about nutrial content. |
