Picked this guy up this morning. He was handed into a petshop as he was apparently aggressive and they gave him to me but he seems totally fine. He has been named Albert
Really chuffed with him |

Yeh totally agree. Guy was more concerned with getting him a King-friendly home rather than taking money for him. |

He's an adult male so probably at least 3. He weighs 440g just now. Guy from petshop said he was quite skinny when he got him, seems previous owner was scared of him. He has been fed up since the shop had him and looks reallys healthy now. So chuffed with him. He's also fine to handle. He's a wee bit jumpy when you first pic him up and I am guessing this is where previous owner had the problem. I handled him in the shop and then at home before I put him into his new RUB. Gonna leave him for a few days to settle in then we'll see how he is, apparently he has a wicked feeding response and this is where the madness starts lol |

Took some pics tonight since it was first feed since I got him. Gave him a 45g XL mouse. Feeding response was pretty much what I expected. He nailed the mouse the second he saw it then typically dragged it off of the paper and ate it on top of the substrate in the corner:-

Hi Toki, what weight is your king? I was just guessing he was 3 based on the growth rate of my cornsnake as a guide but for all I know he could be 8 years old.
Wish I could find out for sure.

Just spoke to petshop I got him from and previous owner told them he's a 2008 so he is 3 years old. I think I was just so excited when I collected him I forgot to ask!
When I checked my records my big cornsnake is actually a 2009 and weighed in at 483g last month. Does anyone know how growth rates or corns and kings usually compare? |

If it helps my male is a 2008 and is 601 grams. Thought he was a girl until I got him sexed.
If you want I have good pics for a size comparison on my thread in the general section. I think its titled "healthy cali king" I would link you but I'm on my phone :-/ |

I'm not exactly sure. Between 4 and 4.5 ft I would think. I'll get an exact measurement after new year |
