I was reading the care sheet for mexican king snakes as im thinking of getting a mexican black and it say's they can grow to 3' averaging 2.5',then a further on down in the housing section it says they can grow to 6'.What sort of size am i looking at?

1.0 dumeril boa,0.1 bci boa,1.0 royal python,1.0 mbk kingsnake,1.0corn,1.2 chinese water dragon,0.0.1 bearded dragon

Kaz was pondering this when she was writing the care sheet as her mexi black is around 5' Don't know what the average is but they can certainly reach a good size

1.1.0 Guyana red-tail boa (Hercules and Athena)
1.0.1 children (Alfie and BUMP)

Yes, I think they grow bigger than what people say the average is.

Nagini is 5 ft now and maybe still growing.

Plus, just in case, you said you were reading about Mexican king snakes, but Mexican Blacks are actually in the Common King snake family for some reason. Confusing I know. It took me ages to get a grasp of the king snake families.

I cant comment on the size cos Snoop is still young and nowhere near adult size or age I cant wait to see how big he grows though

LOL that is a scary snake. I think they are starter snakes to be honest well thats what I've read on the net

Kings tend to have a bad reputation as being snappy. In my experience though the reputation is undeserved

Funny, was just talking about that today. I started with a Corn to get me past a childhood fear of snakes, advice at the time was all beginner=corns, but I only have one corn now, a taiwanese beauty and 3 kings, none of which are in any way snappy.

As must of you know my cali king go’s though stages must day now she fine but the other day she tried to go for me with the glass door closed and then just miss my hand in side the viv then other day’s I can pick her up and she come out to me without any problem FEMALES
