Can you tell us a bit more about the housing temps etc, and the snake itself ie age and when did it last shed.

shes about 8 or 9 months old ive had her for 3 months and she has shed twice, once just last week...temps are 80-85 in hot part and 70-75 in cool, has lots of hides and what not but insists on going in the hide with water in it. and like i said i tried dropping the temp a few degrees and she just stayed in the water, when i touched her and the water it seem very cold for her to just wanna sit in..

My kingsnake would do the same thing, I don't think it was for any particular reason other than she enjoyed it. Just be careful, my girl developed a large water blister with this habit, that I'm treating right now.

My boas did this when they had mites.

Have you checked for mites?
