They are thayeri, Variable Kingsnakes. It is a color morph called Leopard. Seems to be kind of genetic, but not proven so far.

I just got those type of animals in the same breedings in different years.

This year I was able to cross back a Leopard with the moms and next year I will be able to cross Leopard with Leopard.

I'm located in Germany.

I'm interested but why would you want to cross closely related animals like that. This is only going to make them genetically deficient and has the potential to breed all sorts of detrimental issue !?

Matt there's no problems associated with breeding sibs or parents to offspring in the short run. Most breeders have been doing it ofor generations.

Just because its done I don't think it means it should be done. I guess I'm just quite against the breeding of 'morphs' or whatever ever you'd like to call them. I mean aren't there enough great 'snake designs' through natural selection without us having to mess around with things!

Matt,

I think as long as ther is no damage in the line it is ok to breed the animals for color or pattern you like best. As long as you keep the species or ssp. clean. The parents were unrelated animals.

Mark,

I really need some nice red moles, feel free to send them :).
