Hi, this hasn't actually happened to me but have read about it. I beleive putting it's head under warm running water should work(obviously not for too long) |

Alcohol hands down. But if non handy (or you want it all for yourself!) cold water under the tap.

I tried all of the above on unday when one of my new snakes clamped on. I waited patiently at first, then held its head underwater for about 5 minutes but it still didn't let go. Tried the alcohol gel and that didn't work either. Eventually had to prise its mouth open with tongs |

That's cruel that MB - you should have gone about your daily business with him latched on. He'd have probably let go in the middle of the night when you'd relaxed a little |

Maybe so Kaz, but then he could have latched on to something else |

Whenever Morse latches on and won't let go I take a q-tip and dab just a little bit of alcohol onto the corner of his mouth....works every time. I've never heard about putting it on his nose though... |

Another thing that works is to put a few drops of listerine mouthwash on or near his nose, or just on the flesh of your finger near the bite (though if its pierced skin, I can imagine that would hurt like a bi-...like a female dog >.> ) |
