I just recently acquired this extremely sick snake. One of my friends brothers had it. It has a bad odor about it and is extremely flaky. It was underfed. What should I do? I'm thinking of soaking it. Also what could be the problem? Also he kept a heating lamp on it 24/7.

Yeah, his next shed should help his colours come back through

My camera is broken which is why I haven't gotten any pictures up. I will see if my brother will let me use his though. He is looking pretty good, but his scales are very dull, not shiny. I think that once he does a full skin shed without my aid he should get shiny again.

I don't know this product so I can't comment on it, best that someone who's familiar gives you feedback on this. The product I was talking about is for snakes who haven't eaten and need the boost. They can also be bathed in it.

I'll open your link in a moment. The UK product goes by the name Reptoboost.

I have no idea when he last ate, actually. I have had him for about two weeks, so im guessing about three weeks. What is the UK supplement called? I should be able to find the American version if I know what it is.

Any idea how long since his last meal? You may want to give him some supplement, there is something here in the UK but I don't know the name of the American equivalent...

Sorry I haven't been on. I was busy with the holiday. I have a mouse thawing out and I am about to try to feed him. He has been soaking himself and has been moving around alot. I will let you know whether he eats or not. Probably call the vets tomorrow to make an appointment.
