Does anyone else's kings do this?
To be fair, she's a great girl in general, never caused me any injuries or anything, it's just something i'd like her to do! |

Hahaha. Sorry.
I just had an image in my head of a snake screaming because it saw a mouse. |

Posted - 05/08/2009 : 08:20:42 thank you for your replies! yeah i assumed it'd have something to do with their nature!
though she's now on small mice, once she's stopped being so scared of them, perhaps she'll start to constrict.

Posted - 04/08/2009 : 22:42:47 Personally, I've found that most if not all Milksnakes I have kept have never constricted. Milksnakes being shy species, It's not really in there nature. I've also found that Milksnakes prefer small items but in a larger amount, possibly the reason why constriction is not necessary, As the snake in question can swallow with no problem what so ever.
Mexican Blacks on the other hand.

Posted - 04/08/2009 : 16:16:46 I can't get my Mexian Milk to feed by hand at all. In fact it seems to stress him out. To tell the truth I don't care setting the food in a RUB and letting him eat there, just as long as he's eating. |
