Posted - 26/02/2010 : 23:48:56 All my snakes hate water, so I never do. I would only consider doing it after a bad shed, which none have ever had so far :) |

Posted - 25/02/2010 : 21:28:07 I have found that bathing my variable king once a day just before he's going to shed results in a full head to tail one piece shed :-) ! - Otherwise its usually in 4-5 pieces.
I'm not sure he likes it too much though ! |

Posted - 09/02/2010 : 22:24:56 None of my snakes seem to like water. I tend to bath them only if they have been laying in their own waste (quite common with one of my boas) or if they have had a bad shed and they have some retained shed (very rare but it does happen). Having said that I don't think it would cause a problem if you did it regularly as long as they are thoroughly dried afterwards |

Posted - 09/02/2010 : 10:56:50 I wouldn't do it too regulary- just because damp conditions are a risk factor in the development of a R.I (respiratory infection), but if you snake seems to not mind them then the odd bath now and again doesn't hurt. In fact it might be appreciated during shedding. |
