Posted - 15/01/2012 : 01:28:27 I've only have him since the beginning of this week, but he's already settled down nicely. I was meant to get a cali kingsnake, but there was a mix-up that meant I could either wait a few weeks for a cali, or walk home with him. Obviously I couldn't walk away from such a beautiful snake, so here he is.

Posted - 05/02/2012 : 01:13:51 Yeah , as deadmansfinger says , he wont have shed yet. He will just have come out of blue , he will shed 2 or 3 days later |

Posted - 04/02/2012 : 23:21:09 His eyes going back to normal don't mean he's shed. The eyes go blue, then a few days later return to normal then a few days after this he will shed. |

Posted - 04/02/2012 : 22:48:24 Right, so he's shed now, his eyes have returned to normal and he's all shiny and wonderful. The only issue is I can't find the skin anywhere. I've checked the pipes, in his hides, around the back and behind the plant; it just isn't in there. Not sure what do. |

Is that the heat bulb? You will probably want a guard for that...
I made one out of mesh with the DIY thing from this site :3 He's never gone close to the bulb, but I thought I'd better make it, just in case. |

Posted - 03/02/2012 : 02:13:06 He's about to shed :D I thought I'd share, because there's just not enough photos of snakes with milky eyes on this forum :)

Oh, and here's his vivarium. Since I took this picture I've changed to using Infrared bulbs, made a bulb guard, and the thermostat probe is attacked to the side of the viv with hooks.

Posted - 02/02/2012 : 12:36:20 No need whatsoever to make a moist box , he's a desert species and will shed just fine without , his water bowl will create more than enough humidity All I do with my kings is give them a quick spray with water once a day when shedding , although they probably dont even need that. They always shed perfectly , in one piece |

Posted - 22/01/2012 : 14:52:03 It's a clear sign that I spend far too much time on the internet XD He looks like he might start shedding in the next week or so. Would paper towels be ok to make him a moist box with? |
