Posted - 14/08/2009 : 09:48:43 If you microwave orchid bark and a little water for 5 mins at full power would this kill any mites and eggs? as i dont want to take the risk of introducing mites to my collection. |

Posted - 14/08/2009 : 21:40:26 i'd go for baking it too, 120*C for an hour will probably kill most beasties and dry the substrate too so you don't have high humidity issues |

Posted - 14/08/2009 : 19:40:12 just gently bake the cork for about a hour,diluted bleach (10%)is ok for branches that wont fit in the oven. |
