Hi, i have a 10 month old Cali King snake. Would it Be ok to put him on sand ?

just avoid it, there's plenty of non-harmful and better looking alternatives out there........sand is for hoggies and sand boas!

i wouldnt recommend it..it can get under scales and cause impactions and if swallowed it could cause some major health issues..
aspen or hemp is good, or paper shreddings

I can't comment on sand as a substrate, but I have all mine on aspen and they seem to love it. It's great if they love to burrow.

from all the reading it seems ok just dont feed him in the sand.
