hi,

changing over to a ceramic heater from a heat mat in my new viv but not sure where to put the sensors from the stat and the thermometer.

Both my stat and thermometer probes are on the substrate dirctly under the ceramic to make sure that there is no area that gets too hot. This works well and gives a good thermal gradient.

or an alternative that i use for the stat probe is to suspend it from the bulb guard and still set the stat to the thermometer with the therm probe underneath the bulb on the substrate. that way a cold snake can't lay on the probe and send the temps sky high with a false reading....
