Are there any types of commonly-kept snake which are diurnal rather than nocturnal? |

a give-away is the pupil, species with round pupils tend to be diurnal, and species with elliptical pupils tend to be nocturnal |

My corns come out in the day, but the official line is that they are active at dusk and dawn so inbeweeners really.
Hoggies are daytimers though |

milksnakes are supposed to be crepescular (out during dawn and dusk)
Simon's ghost corn is out when and where she likes lol she'll often be out in the day and then just fall asleep where she explored (out in the open)
whereas we haven't really seen Simon's python since he got it two weeks ago today. (It refused it's first feed too, he looked, sniffed, touched and slinked away in disgust) <-- quite worried about that as it was a problem feeder before, but maybe just hadn't settled in enough.
shut up woman!!!!
