Mexi blacks (and kings in particular really) all are very food orientated (even if it's your fingers) Just stick to the appropriate feeding for the size of snake, and you should be okay. Just watch your fingers

Welcome to the forum!

Hello Greg - I agree with Lewy. They are always after food (except in winter when males can go off it a bit), but it's easy enough to control if you stick to decent size meals at the right times

Thanks for your comments do you think two mice would be better than the small rat that he normally has each week he always strikes first timed . As kings have smallish heads what do you think about smaller items say 2 or 3 mice at meal time?

i give my adult king 1 small rat weaner every 7-10 days, depends on the size of yours though.Try and get rats the same thickness of your kings body or a bit larger but no more than 1.5x the size and yes they will take what ever you offer them, there so greedy lol

hi,a 3x2 viv would be fine, very unlikly that you would get a 6' cali, but if you wanted to get a 4' it's up to you.How old is it at the moment?
