Depends really, officially it's about the size for an adult corn so around 3-4ft depending, but there's loads of different species of king so you can't say really. You need to just buy for the size of the individual snake really. Plus kings are really active so Nagini has got a bigger viv than Cyd has, just because he's always pottering about. |

Can't fit Lewy in it, but I've been in it before. It's quite large for a king, more of a boa tank really, but we've pack it out with all sorts and he loves it. It's 4ft by 1.5 ft so extra large. |

Sylar's viv is 3ft x 2ft and he loves it. Doesn't seem to bother him that its a bit large as he's nice and active. |

You can't always believe what you read on care sheets (not just mine either ) or in books. One book I've got says Mexican Black kings only reach 3.5 feet in adulthood. Nagini is plus 5ft and Hypanthia is 4 ft and still growing. |

I'm about to get a VX 36 viv. Think it'll do us just fine. Like the idea of a 18" depth rather than the 12 or 15" that some of the makes produce. I was under the impression that if you add the depth to the length then that total is about the length of the snake that you should want to put in the viv. I'd be surprised if cleo gets much beyond 4.5' though she does eat a lot.. Dont really have space for a 48 " viv. |
