Well I've wondered over here from the corn site. I dont have a king, but as matty says 'Who knows?'
My friend has a mexican black king snake, and it is the friendliest snake i have ever known. Its so nice, that he even takes it to his school talks. His corns are more aggressive!
Therefore i think your all just makng up this 'nasty kings' thing |

Nice mexi black? you must be having a laugh
No, Nagini isn't that bad really, but Tempo is turning into a little monster. We are trying to tame him down quick, because if he stays nasty when he grows up he'll definitely give Nagini a run for her money |

Whilst i would love to come to York, and see all the big snakes, it would be very impractical to spend 2 hours on a train! If i still lived in Northallerton, i would.
Do you think Tempo has small man syndrome? He has seen how big and nasty Nagini is, and needs to show off too? Hehe

My Cali King José was very snappy when I got him 3 weeks ago and even bit me in the shop and would not let go for 5 mins- he had to be removed by the shop owner!
However, he has now settled down, stopped musking when held and will sit still in my hand, although he will dart away at great speed if he decides to make a break for it! He still hisses at his food 2-3 times before grabbing it and coiling around it.
Most feisty Kings will settle down very quickly after regular handling I think. There are always a few exceptions however with any species of snake. I think José was just pleased to see me when he went for my hand!! |

Tempo is calming down too. Got him out yesterday with no troubles at all.
Hopefully he'll be nice and tame by the time he's big.
I don't think he's got little snake syndrome, because he's not actually met Nagini yet. She'd have him if he got too close |

I gave him/her a stern talking to when we got home- can't believe BE got off bite free.
Will have to steal one of his socks to keep hitting him/her around the head with. If I tease her enough, next time she smells his scent she'll have him |
