I've been doing my research for the care sheets and I've read about this in 'Kingsnakes and Milk snakes' by R.D Bartlett. Does anyone on here incubate eggs in this way?
'A completely off the wall incubator achieves excellent results: The materials necessary for this consist of a wide-mouthed gallon jar, it's cover, and the cut off foot part of a pair of panty hose (tights to us )'
'place an inch or two of water in the bottom of the jar'
'stretch the (tights) over the mouth of the jar so that the foot part is hanging down in the jar.'
'place the egg in the toe of the (tights), which should be suspended an inch or two above the level of the water.'
'Screw the top of the jar back on so that it holds the egg-laden (tights) securely in place. This creates an incubation chamber with 100 percent relative humidity.'
'Place the jar in a suitably warm area, ignore for a few weeks, and remove the baby snakes when they hatch'
What do you breeders think? I think it sounds interesting, but I don't think I'd try it.

Interesting, but I'd want to keep the temperature constant to avoid abnormalities and can you have too high a humidity? |

I thought it was a bit high, especially since a lot of kings live in dry, warm habitats.
I wouldn't risk trying it anyway. Especially since all my tights end up with holes in the toes anyway |

I have the same book and saw this method. Not heard of anybody having succes with it. But now adays with the equipment on hand, Why risk it. It would be nice to see if it actually works, However, Thats chancing livestock.... I'd personally stick to the Polybox Method.
