| I have been thinking of breeding my mexi in the future but have seen a lovly albino cali for sale at my lrs for £50,just out of interest any idea what the offspring from a mexi/albino would be like if they would mate.Is that a good price for a adult albino cali? |

No idea but i think you should find out for sure if Diablo is a lady or a bloke before you start looking to get a 'special friend'(well and then forget all plans and buy my Milk snake if you have room for another viv ) |

I think I would hold out for another Mexi really. Mexis are worth more than Cali kings and really there's a chance that the offspring would be weird, ugly things. Stick to the pure bloods  |

| got diablo probed and he's a he,was sort of hoping the he was going to be a girly but nevermind.I dont think i can resist this albino any more,would like it as a addition not nessacerly for breeding,seen it probed today and its a girl,great temperment,is that a good price (£50) |

| I would not cross-breed the two species. A shop in Manchester bred a mexi with a cali king to produce "mexicalis" as they called them. They did not seem to sell so well and I didn't think they looked as good as the parents would have. |

I think im going to get the albino as she's gorgeous but not for breeding with the mbk,i like magneticblue's idea. |

ideally yes, quarantine all new arrivals for 6 months, particularly boids.
in reality try to........... for 3 months, ideally in a separate room. handle, feed and check on your new arrival last after you've done your current snakes. and make sure no equipment is shared. |

| Definitely quarantine. The last female boa I got developed an RI and I'm still treating her now as it just keeps coming back. She has always been in quarantine and she was always the last snake I handled. If I hadn't quarantined her I couuld be having to treat 3 boas for RI now instead of just the one. |

| was going to put her in my spare viv in the stack,did mention about quarantining to the shop and he said that because he's had her so long it probly not be nessasery,i know she has been there for a couple of months and in the same viv,just means im going to have to get another viv and have not got room anywhere else in the house *scratching head in deep thought* |
