This is Suki my 2yr old Cali King. In the last 3 weeks or so she has developed this odd lump underneath her chin that comes and goes that is soft and squishy and does feel like there's nothing there.
The Vet thinks she could be holding air or gas but isnt sure at all and is planning to speak to a Zoo Vet. Also every now and again the side of her mouth is open ever so slightly.
Apart from this she's fine and you wouldnt think anything was wrong with her.
Here are 3 photo's of Suki with the lump's pointed out...
I have never heard of a snake holding air or gas. I would be inclined to think it's a cyst or abscess. I would take your snake to a vet who knows about reptiles to have it checked out just to be sure.

One of my cali kings.2 years ago had a abscess and it look exactly like that cept towards the tail of my cali king. The vet gave my cali king a few shots over the course of 3 weeks. The abscess was gone and snake is doing good.
