quick Q on the 'smelly' aspect.... I think my cali king is smellier than the corns, (which don't particularly)
she really wuffs at times.
my oh thinks i'm imagining it.

BUT we've had a corn refuse to eat when it's been put in a feeding tub that had previously been occupied by the baby king, and I put that down to smell, cos in a clean new tub the corn ate fine...
and there's that whole thing about wash yr hands between handling king/corns, which is down to smell....

SO- are kings generally smellier snakes, then? (disregarding the nasty fishy musk thing- eewww)

I think my king smells more than the corns, but I do see him musking and then him rolling in it sometimes!

Only one of my corns seems to have a problem eating if a corn has been in there before, sometimes the king refuses to eat as he is on the hunt for corns, so now I just give a good spray cleaning inbetween feeds.

I have also only been bitten once by my king when I forgot to wash my hands after the corn, other times that I did forget and when I realised, he was just really, really sniffing at my finger tips, it looked like he would munch them!

I have no idea if they are more smelly if you don't inlcude musking though haha

My smelliest snake is by far my male corn. Infact he's my only snake I would consider smelly. I keep all my setups very clean but he still manages to smell

1.0 Milksnake
3.3 Kingsnakes
1.1 Royal Python
1.2 Cornsnakes
