Just a thought I had. Kage's viv is heated by a red heat lamp, with plenty of foliage and about 4 different hides to choose from along the length. I have two digital thermometers, one at hot end and one at the cool, and the temps range from 32 to about 24. I then realised that obviously the hides are where she'll spend most of her time, and so I placed the probes inside them and watched the temps plummet to 25.5 and 21. =/ my worry is that if I turn the stat up to raise the hide temperatures to what they should be, the ground outside them could be in excess of 35 degrees. Any thoughts?

| yes, dont have the thermos in the hides ;) the heat will get to them even in the hides. have the probes outside the hides but would have it on the base |
