Here he is a few days ago :)
This is him today, we had to take the branches off and stuff to find him today as he's been having a good burrow and he zoomed into his hide. He would NOT come out for food for ages. He usually comes out if you open the door and ruffle the aspen a bit and his curiosity wins and he's straight over .... probably thinking/hoping i'm a nice yummy mouse. But he would NOT budge today lol.
Ohhh look ... i'm ignoring you ... la la la ...
STILL ignoring you ....
Oh hi ... didn't see you there ...
Trying not to lift his hide up as he ends up nomming on your hand for about ten minutes in protest.
He's 3 soon!
He does seem quite small for his age, pictures of much younger kings on here are a lot bigger (look it anyway). He is starting to chunk out a bit now though and he had trouble eating for a while. |

Mine now sits in the exact same position as yours. I put a big piece of cork bark in for him and he sits under it with his sticking out............waiting, probably for my hand. Good thing is it's right at the front of his RUB so I get to see him all the time now :-) I would quite like a banded albino cali king too |

Haha ace! Mort does like a good explore now and again, hanging off all his branches etc. He looooooves burrowing, and his viv gets trashed as a result lol. If i can't see him and I go to change his water, he pops out from nowhere, like you said ... waiting . He made me jump the other day, reached in to get some poop out and there was this tongue slicking my hand. Good of him not to bite really lol!
I want more kings too ... lots and lots
Would love an MBK |

Yeh can't recommend MBKs highly enough. Actually really regret selling the spare male I had (mainly as I can't find a female) but also as they are just such cool snakes. My albino cali nearly got me at feeding time other day. I put in sheet of paper and as usual he went under it. I was waiting for him to come out as I was holding his mouse and he popped out at other end than I was expecting, basically right up between my arms. I jumped like a big girl (sorry ladies) mouse went flying and he nailed the mouse as it landed. Would have looked quite cool apart from my less than macho part in it |

lol! He planned it . Do love kings, their face, chunkyness yet quite slender compared to some snakes.
Really want an MBK but they are quite hard to come across . Found a couple of adults late last year but we didn't have the room after just taking on a rescue corn.
Getting a nice stack built soon though with an extra viv, full intention on filling it with a kingsnake *touch wood* lol. |

Keep an eye on the classifieds (gumtree etc) as adult males tend to appear quite often. |
