Would my king be OK if I were to leave him for the weekend and not change his water for a day or two? So far he hasn't shown any signs of defecating in his water, so I don't think that would be an issue, but I currently change it every morning, which I obviously wouldn't be able to do if I went away for a weekend.

Yeh it won't be a problem. Sods law says he'll crap in it this time though :-)
