Hi Guys,
We currently have a corn which we bought at the start of September this year. It's my birthday later this month and after catching the bug I'm allowed a snake as an early present!

The plan is to go out to our local shop where we bought the corn from (Ameyzoo in Bovingdon, Herts) tomorrow afternoon. I know I definitely want a King or Milk snake and have always liked the look of an Mexican Black Kingsnake, but having been there last week spotted a Pueblan Milksnake which looked adorable!!

I'm still torn and not sure what I'll end up with but I wanted to know from people more experienced with Kings and Milks what, if any, the differences are between them.

Any comments will be well appreciated

KING every time lol, Both are cracking reps all the same. There is no real major differences between either so good luck and just pick one that suits you ;)

I vote king too. I had a great milk once, but she was very shy in comparison to my king :)

I think I'm leaning more towards the King myself. The shop has a lovely MBK at the moment but I think I'm gonna go and see what else they have as I'm not set on a particular morph yet!

A belated congrats Huffy! Nicely done :)

Care to share any pics of the new King of your house?

Is the only really discernable character difference between a King and a Milk the fact that Milks are generally a bit more shy and less up themselves than the Kings?

Thanks Constrictor there should be some pics in the picture section to have a look at already.

I've never owned a milk I couldn't say. From what I've read and what people have said I think Kings are more active. I couldn't be happier with mine so far apart from a small incident last time we fed him where he tried to eat his feeding tongs and wouldn't let go!! Fiesty little chap he is, but I wouldn't have him any other way... and contrary to stories I've only been bitten once and I think that was even my fault as I may have forgotten to wash my hands after touching our corn!
