Hello everyone :) I have been Planning on acquiring a Cali King Snake, not the banded variation but the blacky brown with one long strip running down it's back ending in spots. I am not sure if it makes a difference but I thought I should mention it just in case they are crazy and mean variant.
My local Reptile Centre were incredibly helpful, but I still have a few queries, if anyone would be happy to help me with them that would be very much appreciated!
I used to own a Checkered Garter Snake, who was amazing, sweet and lovely he would sit with me for ages.
I know King Snakes are like corns which I have never owned so is not much help to me. I have learnt about them However but what is worrying me is bites!!!! Do Kings regularly bite? Do they have large fangs? Will it jump and rip my hands arms and face apart? If you can help me that would be great I am a snake lover and helped res ue them from houses in oz and Nevis, and not been scared at all but for some reason I am of the KS lol prob down to YouTube vids lol

Kings are similar to corns, yes.
They tend to be more active, and sometimes are known to be a bit more feisty.
I've been bitten by 2 out of my 4 kings, 1 of them was stupidity by having mousey smelling hands, so I don't count that as he probably wouldn't of bit me if I didn't.
They don't have fangs at all, but they do have several tiny sharp little teeth which can leave little pin prick holes if they get a good grip.
It wont cause much damage to you at all if they bite, I've had one latch on and practically chew my hand and the next day could barely notice where it had bitten.
It hurts very little, in fact I've had injections that have hurt more.
Kings can be feisty when very young and small and will sometimes regularly try to bite out when tiny but this is more so because their natural instinct that you are a predator of somekind is there, they haven't gotten used to being handled. It's actually quite cute, you have a tiny little king that believes it's strong and big enough to scare you off, yet can do no damage or even leave any marks at all.
When I was bitten by a hatchie I didn't realise it had until I went to put it down and couldn't. 
When they're adults and are more used to being handled they're absolutely fantastic, generally will only bite if you do something silly like I did with mousey smelling hands. Brilliant and dim snakes.  |

not going to add to what Kehhlyr has already mentioned other than the colour and pattern variations in kings is just that colour \ pattern variation, it doesnt make one morph any more feisty than the other. |

Welcome.
I bought my first king a couple of weeks ago and he is great. Even though he is a baby from a rep shop he is very calm and relaxed and happy to be held.
The only time he is fiesty and nippy is when I offer him a mouse. I have to make sure my fingers are well out the way as he has a fast a long strike but isn't very acurate yet lol

3 of mine are adult and still not very accurate. Silly snakes. |
