Unless anyone else wishes to answer.
I have owned a king snake since for nearly 4 months and its approx 6 months old. I noticed that you (Lee2308) posted a "dont panic" thread on not feeding, but i now think its time for you to help me as i am soon to be getting worried. It hasnt lost weight and it hasnt pooped. It is still active. I have tried all the usuals like scenting the pinkie, leaving the pinkie and putting the pinkie in a small dark hide.
I would appriciate some one to one with no charges lol!

Has it not fed since you've had it?
I have a small king that I got last year that still refuses to feed when anything could be remotely near it.
I have to put mine into a tiny little braplast tub and cover it somewhere quiet with the food in and then usually within a couple hours it'll eat it.
Sometimes it'll take it in a minute or 2, the last time she took about 3 or 4 hours. |

Kazerella : i have tried braining and Tuna soaking. Sadly, the person i got it from obtained them from an inexpereinced breeder and had no info on its feeding history.

What i found worked a treat for our non feeding anery, ok its not a king, was scenting with chick blood. fantastic feeding response from her by doing that.

Kings do like chicks, sometimes more than rodents so it's definitely worth a try.
I'd be worried, especially since you have no records, that he never started eating. Breeders shouldn't sell them without ensuring they've had a few feeds, but hopefully if you show him the way then he'll begin to eat soon. |

Excuse me "gmac and co" what does the title say,lol.
I would go with what kehhlyr said or even better try a live pinky if you can get one,work for me,it was striked staight away and eaten. |
