How widely available are King snake pattern morphs in the UK? I'm not fussy about a particular species, it just has to have several heritable pattern morphs and be breedable. Some pigment variation would be useful, but isn't essential. Any advice/suggestions for sources greatly appreciated.

I'm based in North Wales, so ides of local-ish suppliers/breeders would also be appreciated.

Hi Mate,

You mention your not fussy regarding species, although the species that has the most variety interms of Kingsnakes is Californian Kingsnake. There's plenty of breeder's and even shops that can acquire decent morphs. A friend of my Neil has recently hatched some unusual morphs of Cali's. If Cali's arn't your thing, then Greybands maybe. There are a few morphs up and coming with this, intially expensive currently, although they will come down. Hypo, Anery, Albino etc.

The only supplier in Wales I know is 'The Living Rainforest', but my geography is not so good, all I know is that it's in Wales. Neil lives in Surrey, although he can courier. Feel free to pm me for his details.

Scott

Thanks, I'll start looking into Californis kings. The main requirement though is that they show variable patterning (i.e. loss/alteration of stripes), not just pigmentation.

Cali's sound ideal for you then. Here's a couple pictures of neil's recent hatchlings.
