I'd recommend the Annulata's for a first snake hands down. I've never had/seen/heard of any bad Annulata's, they are the most tolerant of all the subspecies in my opinion.

Couldn't agree with you all anymore, They are superb snakes to keep. I've been told by the yanks, these are very special due to their orange tint (not on there tri's/spots)
