All snakes are different so just knowing its age isn't enough for us to tell you if you are feeding it enough. If the food size is big enough you should be able to see a small bulge in the snakes belly. If you can't see a bulge then up the food size or the number of pinkies. The usual advice is to gradually up the amount of food before moving to the next size. Try feeding 2 pinkies every 5 days and see how your snake responds to this. Then after a few weeks try 3 pinkies. After it has eaten 3 pinkies at each feed for a few weeks then move up to fuzzies and repeat the same feeding routine until it can take 3 fuzzies regularly then move up to small mice. At 8 months old I would expect your snake will probably take 2 or 3 fuzzies without a problem. However, I have 2 kings at around the same age as yours, one is eating 2 pinkies a week and weighs 16g, the other is eating eating 2 fuzzies a week and weighs 64g.

depending on exact species, current size and expected adult size, i'd probably expect it to be on fuzzies by now

as a general guide the food item shouldn't be more than 1.5 times the width of the snake at it's widest point ie. body NOT head. moving up the sizes as MB has suggested above is recommended too

cornsnakes, ratsnakes, Dumerils boas, BCO hybrids, Sinder Hypo boas, Day Geckos
