I haven't cooled mine this year as he's still under 1 year old. May do it next year. To cool them just turn your thermostat down, but do it gradually over a period of a few weeks rather than suddenly making it colder |

My snakes for brumating get a couple of weeks off the heat pads, down to regular ambient snake room temperature, about 70F, then out into a temperaure regulated shed.
It's fully insulated and gets down to about 45F. Does wonders for the feeding responses of the Rubber boas. The pyromelanas always seem to benefit as well, having generally gone off feeding since about early October.
