Posted - 02/10/2009 : 11:33:00 about this time 3 weeks ago raven shed and had two of the smallest pinkies i had which was eaten and digested no problem the next feed i gave her 4 pinkies which she was on before shedding and took it again no problem.
the next day there was a real bad smell - 3 pinkies had been regurged, i left it a week and tried again with 3, all were regurged the next day. now wensday night this week i gave her 2 and again both were regurged the next night, but partially digested, previous ones wern`t.
i`m getting worried now as she hasn`t properly eaten for a month, apart from the 2 pinkies after shed. warm end is 28-30C, and i havent handled her at all since before shed. im` i doing something wrong here? give me guidance oh forum gods. |

Posted - 05/10/2009 : 10:59:08 right just came back from vets and she told me pretty much the same as what the man in the rep shop said - food or environment, exept she was reading from a book. i`ve been given baytril and panacur in syringes, one per day, reptoboost for water and nutrobal to dust food.
if raven eventually eats and it come out the right end, i`ll take a sample back there to check for any parasites. |

Posted - 02/10/2009 : 19:07:45 i`ve got a new batch of both pinkies and small fuzzies, maybe 4 pinkies was a bit much the first time and not giving enuff time for her belly to settle. i`ll leave it till next weekend till next feed, and hope she dont die, thats the last thing i want.
i`ve also booked a monday morning appointment for the vets, see what they say. the receptionist was quite funny - its like she didnt understand the concept of snakes |

Posted - 02/10/2009 : 12:46:38 4 pinkies is a lot!! it might just be overload, probably best to just feed 2 or max 3 per feed them go onto fuzzies.
other reasons for regurge could be temps (too high or too low) stress or handling too soon...any of these apply? |
