My king has only eaten one fuzzy in the last month. Just wondered if anyone else's kings have stopped eating. He's very lively in his viv, climbing and tunneling all over the place, just no interest in food.

I have a male California mountain king that has not eaten in a month. He eats small mice, once a week. I believe he did this last year but not this long. I guess I need to take better records in regards to his eating pattern. His body looks fine, I am just worried. Is this normal?

Did he take the second in the end?

Thanks for that, will try it if rat pups don't work in future

It suggests lizard scenting, if he tries being bad again.

Just doing research for the care sheet and it says some of the Sonoran mountian king snakes are fussy eaters! - Sylar is probably just a typical role model for the species

Its next door to The Bull pub if that helps.

Glad you got him eating again. Nagini was reluctant today, but managed it after about an hour of messing about.

I think she's going off food again for winter- bet she's male

I didn't go to Snakes and Adders because it's in the manor and I've left me stab-proof vest at work

They were pretty busy when we went at about 2. Looks like they may get some good business there. Some well priced snakes as well

Blackecho and I went to snakes n adders today. When we got back we tried Sylar with a couple of rat pups. He struck for the first one and ate it straight away . Left the second one in there for him if he wants it later

Give it another week and then try again. I'm sure it's something simple like the climate or shedding.

Not in the slighteset bit interested
Blackecho Posted - 01/10/2008 : 20:41:37

We thought Nagini was female, but she didn't eat for most of last winter, so we are going to see if she does the same this year... then might decide she's a he.

That's another reason we might take her to rep night, hopefully someone might sex her for us.

Woe betide the man who dares approach her with some vaseline and probes though
