I have an old Kingsnake, Trio, he's 18 now, and for the first 14 years of his life he didn't have an easy one, to the point where he tried eating himself and started to digest his own tail.
Since I've had him, he's gone from strength to strength, with some small issues along the way that have been treated as and when they appear.

Over the last couple of weeks his scales have become very rough and 'tenting' when he moves.
I'll attach a couple pics to show roughly what he looked like, aside from those that know, can anyone hazard a guess as to what is wrong with him??

For the record, I know whats wrong with him, I just thought this might make an interesting thread. :)

/ninja edit
The photos don't actually show how bad it is/was.

Seeing double now.

From the general condition of the scales, I'll take a guess at a 'double skin' from a bad or retained partial separation of the shed.

Any connection between this and Fester's vertical 'stripes?
There are signs of similar tenting on the inner side of his coils but certainly not as extreme.
