On a previous thread I was asking for help on Mort as he was taking his food, but it was coming back up within minutes of him swallowing. We had a break through and he finally kept down a small mouse (this was way smaller than his usual intake, but it seemed it was the only thing he could properly have a go at).

He's now flat out refusing his food and has done for the past few attempts. Completely ignores it and gets annoyed if you try and get him to chase it (something which he used to really like doing).

We tried him on a large pinkie today to see if we had any joy and he once again ignored it and got out of his feeding RUB. We shut him in with it was like he didn't know it was there. Slithering over it etc.

We've totally backed off on handling and try not to disturb him, only to change his water etc. When he is picked up it's just to put him in his feeding RUB, and he doesn't mind at all.

He's not locking himself away or anything and he's still his active self, but he does look thinner. (Our scales are broke so I can't weight him ).

Shall I try scenting or something? Leaving him for a long time before trying again?

Any tips would be great. I hate seeing him not eat, he was a ravenous eater before all this.

ictalurus_melas .... He is an adult and if it was just the not eating that he was doing, I wouldn't be as worried ... but in the other thread I explained how he couldn't keep his food down. He kept regurgitating it within minutes.
Have you tried offering him smaller food, even half of what he usually has? That's what got our baby hognose eating, he had a pinkie head. We didn't realise he couldn't manage eating even the smallest pinkie we could find, we tried braining it and it's head come off ... but he went straight for that. He hasn't missed a feed since.

Gmac .... they're all fine now apart from Mort. Red the cornsnake is eating perfectly, both hognoses are eating like there's no tomorrow.

What should I look for in their poo? You think worms or something?
I think Mort's going to the vet soon. If he eats i'm going to film it incase he regurges.

They're located in a bedroom. Red (cornsnake) on bottom in viv, Mort on top of her. Hognoses on table next to them. None can see each other. And the bedroom is never busy .... only at feeding time!
It's a bright room ... but they're not in direct sunlight.

where are yours all kept in the house, is it in a busy area.

Is a good idea not to handle you snakes while not eating. Have noticed you have a few beasts playing silly beggers just now might be worth checking a fecal sample see if there is anything hiding in the snakes.

I hope so ... I hate him not eating.

All my pets seem to be taking it in turns to have something wrong with them. Last week my dog was diognosed with something life-long and rare.

Now Mort's playing up again lol. I think they plan it to keep me on my toes

Hope yours eats again soon!
