Posted - 04/03/2011 : 13:57:06 Hi I have a 2 year old king snake my 3rd king (sry never posted any pics but I am a bit to busy to take photos and post) This new king is staying a long time in the water. The first thing I i checked were for mites but there are no mites. For safty of the other kings i sprayed him for mites when i bought him. I don't know what the problem is. another thing is that he also keeps his head under water something which the other 2 king never did. If anyone can help me with the problem since i can't understand whats wrong. |

Posted - 05/03/2011 : 03:38:34 ok suggest you get a thermometer will be best if you know what temps you are reaching in the housing also you cant set the stat without knowing the temps as the stat dials are not very accurate for setting temps, you don't mention a stat are you using one if not it may also be a case that the housing is far to hot and the snakes using the water to cool down.

One of my corns spends a good few days in his water bowl before a shed.
My king doesn't, he just tips his water bowl, poos in it or pushes his hides and plants into it lol |
