My friend fed her albino kingsnake on Thursday and last night it vomited out it's meal. She said she actually heard him do it and it was grey in colour. Both myself and her and new to keeping snakes, the kingsnake is about 6 months old...does she have cause to be worried?
She said that it was being the same as always, and was as inquisitive and calm as ever when she handled him
Sorry she hasn't been able to come and post herself, she doesn't have internet access.
Thanks in advance

24-48 hours, definitely not within 24 hours of feeding, preferably leaving it 48 hours to be on the safe side

I thought it was 24 hours not 48!!! Ive just picked mine up so will have to keep an eye on him

I asked her about handling, since that was the first thing that came to mind, and as I said, she told me that she doesn't handle the snake up to two days after.
I'll ask her about temperatures and tell her to take it to a vet if it vomits out it's next feed.
Thanks everyone =)

i agree with all of the above, not overly concerned if it's a one-off, check everything these guys have already mentioned, if something specific has caused it then fix it ie. temps, handling, if it happens again it's worth investigating by a proper reptile/exotic specialist NOT your local small furries vet who would probably tell you to put a UV bulb in (NOT necessary or useful!) and pack you off with some Baytril

If it vomits its meal back in 10 days when you feed it again, take it to a reptile vets.

Check your friends temps are OK as snakes need to be warm to digest their meal.

If you handle a snake sonner than 48 hours after its meal it will have a high chance of regurgitating its meal. Leave the snake alone now for 10 days and offer it for after that time.
