Posted - 14/08/2010 : 07:39:55 Thanks for all the answers everybody. I thought they were the yellow spots they are born with but just wanted to make 100% as I am kind of a snake newbie. I heard of the yellow spots underneath there body but not on top. |

Posted - 13/08/2010 : 22:14:22 Doesn't sound like mites. Try holding a piece of kitchen roll in your hand and let the snake run through it. If they are mites then some will come off on the kitchen roll. I have some pics somewhere of what mites look like. Will post them if I find them |

Posted - 13/08/2010 : 20:33:29 Picture's would be your best bet mate. As Lee mentioned though, some hatchlings, depending on quality have yellow spots. Mite's tend to be a Red/White/Black color, if you are concerned, give the snake a bathe, if they have mite's they should just drown and drop of into the water. What substrate are you using?

Posted - 13/08/2010 : 20:01:31 most mbks are born with yellow spots but they should disappear as it grows, mites are black and pin head size,so nothing to worry about. |
