Posted - 27/11/2009 : 17:28:41 Orion, just over three months old, arrived home today. Looks like he's just coming out of the blue phase pre shed. At 20g he's nice and strong, and he graced us not too long after going into his viv with a little bit of poo on the side, just so that we know he's saying hello .
Will post pics of the MBKs as soon as the Hawk and I figure out how take pics of black snakes who seem more interested in eating the camera than having their pics taken.

Posted - 27/11/2009 : 23:04:28 Well where were the two of you when the council met to decide the new name?? It could have been Onion if only you spoke before the name was carved into the ancient rock !
As if happened, the boys' wish to express the blackness of the snake led them quickly to the blackness of the night sky, and from there the way was short to the constellation Orion.
