Posted - 21/07/2009 : 12:15:47 Loads of people on the dark side seem to say that they got into the smaller snakes, i.e. corns, kings etc but then go off them and go for the pythons and boas and conda etc but personally i just dont really see the attraction. Dont get me wrong, I love the bigger snakes more than i can express but I just dont see the attraction of keeping them... maybe its just me... |

Posted - 30/07/2009 : 20:14:56 I like the big boas, but we've no room with 12 snakes, 2 toads, 2 salamanders, a frog and some goldfish in the house. But I suppose Evra (the royal) and Ruby (the Brazilian rainbow boa) will grow quite big - but will just be slender-ish so more handleable than a big boa. |

Posted - 22/07/2009 : 22:37:37 I would love either a normal or albino burm but just don't have the room for one. Also. I know if I got one then I would want a partner for it and I certainly don't have room for 2! |

lol i quite like the idea of having a Burm but don't like the idea of having a snake that's more intelligent than me!
that said, i love my Dumerils (if you hadn't guessed!) but they would have been a bit daunting as a first snake due to their size and sometimes awkward feeding habits |

Posted - 22/07/2009 : 17:29:24 I can see the attraction with big snakes I would like an albino burmese one day but for now I think I will stick to my super cool Mexi Black and also try and find a female for him some time next year. |

Posted - 21/07/2009 : 18:18:48 I agree Jon, However, Im not in love with them or ever have been. I would rather have several animals instead of a large animal in a large cage when I can have say 12. I have two Royal pythons, that live in the house hold, But these are more a family pet. I find with the majority of large snakes, for example Pythons and Boa's, they don't seem very active. It's just my personal opinion. Im so passionate about my Milksnakes now, I don't have the time or the room for large species.

Posted - 21/07/2009 : 15:54:45 Well, I have 3 red-tail boas so I suppose I'm one of those people. I definitely won't be getting anything bigger than the boas though and my next plans are to find partners for Sylar and Jasmin |
