Racking my brain for the answer over the last few days and I just can't seem to settle on a choice of what to buy. I've decided on subspecies at least that I want either a mexican black king snake or a Californian king snake.
Now personally I think the Mexican Black does look absolutely awesome, probably my favourite looking king as of yet, but I do want to have a pair to breed to give me something to do while the royals are on their off season, in which case I think I would have far more fun breeding a pair of Californian king snake morphs as I'd get the thrill of wondering what is going to pop out of which egg and such...
Really difficult to decide! What you guys reckon? |

I think MBK is winning, I was going to buy cali kings purely because my local shop has them in stock and I like to show loyalty but they're not sexed and I've never sexed a colubrid they're little tiny things I might snap lol so think instead I'll go MBK when I can find somebody who sells them! |

I have a Cali and love her to death, but my dream snake (if I can find a hatchling) would be a mbk.
So I totally understand your predicament.
One day I will hopefully have both.
I would say a mbk (so I can buy a hatchling off you one day) hahaha |

Mexican Black King would be my very biased choice. 
If I ever got into breeding snakes these would be top of my list. |
